Few words about “Rhizome NetWorks“ project

Rhizome NetWorks project initiated by Gilad Tiram at the beginning of February 2008. The project focus on the creation of futuristic workplace, based on sharing and collaborative sociology where members of peer-to-peer network can participate had hoc working-groups, possibly create flat virtual corporations, for the purpose of manufacturing Internet application from idea up to the commercial phase.

This project has two main products:

• RHZ Open Component (Monads) technology – a unique components-oriented technology that enable the creation of network-aware applications with faces for the various tasks involved in application's life cycle – both technical and commercial.

• Rhizome Browser – a mini-workplace environment that uses RHZ Open Components to implement matrix of services that capture the life cycle for producing diverse Internet applications, including the ability to develop other alike 'Browsers' for the creation of other virtual-workplaces that work on the same principals.

Next milestones:

1. Launching Beta version – These days we launch beta version of Rhizome NetWorks VPLace. During this period we improve functionality and learn customers preferences.

2. Release 1.0 – the release of version 1.0 will include all the functionality improved and developed during the beta version, and allow live commercial activity.

3. Beta premium version – first exposition of premium services such as AppCord surface and Support surface

About Gilad Tiram

Gilad (first name) has 12 years of experience in the software industry with diverse practice in various tasks and titles that cover meaningful part of application's life cycle. This includes: Technical support, QA, Software development for both infrastructure and business-logic, Software architecture and design, Frontal training, individual training and consulting, leading development teams, management and assessment of team's technical knowledge.

Gilad has holistic an integrative attitude, with hard drive for continues search after possibilities of restructuring processes by uncovering underneath components, in a way that open the door for generating new types of productivity. Gilad is Java expert and for him a programming language is a paintbrush for drawing architectural thoughts. Some of the his significant projects include:

1. A flow-control engine for a gaming platform for the SMS and WAP markets. (ICMore LTD – early of 2001)

2. RHZBean - Data object model that is used to represent runtime and persist data of applications. (The old Rhizome Networks project - 2001-2002)

3. Platform for hosting and developing server-side applications that interact with J2ME clients. This platform included a flow-engine, economical data-model for small footprint (for both network bandwidth and application's size) , and API for creating J2ME applications. (in the scope of old Rhizome Networks project - 2001-2002)

4. A special data-object-model to represent data in a way that same DOM can be used for server-side business-logic, delivery of data between J2ME clients and server-side service and finally, representing the object-model of client-side application. This approach lead to economical applications with small footprint, as well as small delivered packages and of course high flexibility when application need to be changed. (The old Rhizome Networks project - 2001-2002)

5. Process engine and components container for fast creation, high flexibility and easy maintenance of of business-logic. (Traiana LTD - 2003-2008)

6. “RHZ Open Components” technology and its first implementation – “Rhizome Browser” (Rhizome NetWorks 2008-2009).

Before working in the software industry Gilad worked as social guide for autistic adults and army's mental injured and and teach technology in elementary school. In the army service, Gilad served in the AIF as electronic technician for flight control systems.

Gilad is a B.A graduate from the Open-University for Psychology and Philosophy. In addition Gilad studied for few years psychoanalysis of Jacques Lacan. At those times, more then 12 years ago through discussions with his analyst, he first met with the term Rhizome with relation to the the book of Gilles Deleuse – Felix Gauttari “A Thousand Plateaus”. Since then he continuously try to find his relationships with the essence of this word.

So what is Rhizome for me:

The matter I use for creating with is software, or more generally words. My love is to compose. To invents components and tie them together, to build machines, holistic ones, complete for itself but never ended. Rhizome for me is the origin surface that connects all the particles and mix of my creation. When after months of confusion I get some idea that surprisingly?! tie together all the the opaque thoughts, when I write new module and by connecting it with existing software I discover that a new concept of product has emerged, when I take a look in my very old writings from nine years ago and find that it was all written there, hidden, not implements, without a body. At those events I say that I was acted by the Rhizome.

The Rhizome for me is the “already written” at the moment of event.
